Meet the Team & Mission | BEST Remote Work Training Preston
We're a UK Community Interest Company on a mission to create 1,000 remote jobs for disabled people, those with mental health conditions, and neurodivergent individuals by 2028.
Our Mission
To remove the barriers that keep disabled people, those with mental health conditions, and neurodivergent individuals out of work by creating flexible, remote-first employment pathways in high-growth digital sectors.
We provide training, equipment, ongoing support, and real work opportunities—ensuring every participant has what they need to succeed.
Our Vision
A future where disability, mental health conditions, and neurodivergence are not barriers to employment, where remote work is accessible to all, and where disabled people, those with mental health conditions, and neurodivergent individuals are recognized as valuable, skilled contributors to the economy.
We believe that with the right support, anyone can thrive in meaningful, well-paid work—regardless of health, mobility, or location.
Why RemoteAbility Exists
Disabled people and those with mental health conditions are unemployed in the UK (vs. 20% of non-disabled people)
Annual cost of lost economic contribution from disabled unemployment
Disabled people want to work but face systemic barriers
The barriers are real—but not insurmountable
Traditional employment models exclude disabled people: inflexible hours, commuting requirements, inaccessible workplaces, lack of reasonable adjustments, and employers who don't understand disability.
Meanwhile, the remote work economy is booming. Millions of jobs can be done from anywhere, at flexible hours, with adjustments built in from the start. But disabled people are still being left behind—due to lack of training, equipment costs, and employers who won't take a chance.
RemoteAbility bridges that gap. We train, equip, support, and deploy disabled people into real remote work—proving that with the right model, disability is not a barrier to employment. It's an opportunity.

What is a Community Interest Company (CIC)?
Community Interest Company
RemoteAbility is a Community Interest Company (CIC)—a special type of UK limited company designed for social enterprises. CICs are businesses with a social mission, regulated to ensure profits are reinvested for public good.
What This Means for You:
- ✓Mission-locked: We exist to create employment for disabled people, not to maximize shareholder profit.
- ✓Transparent: We publish annual reports and are regulated by the CIC Regulator.
- ✓Asset-locked: If we ever close, our assets go to another social enterprise—never to private owners.
- ✓Accountable: Our board includes people with lived experience of disability and employment barriers.
Unlike charities, CICs can trade commercially. This means we can partner with businesses, run client projects, and generate sustainable income—while staying true to our social mission.
Our Values
🤝 Dignity & Respect
We treat every participant as a skilled professional, not a 'case' or 'beneficiary.' You're here to work, contribute, and earn—with dignity.
♿ Disability Justice
Barriers are systemic, not individual. We fight to remove those barriers—through advocacy, policy influence, and proving a better model is possible.
🌍 Inclusion by Design
Accessibility isn't an add-on. Every process, tool, and interaction is designed from the start to be inclusive and adjustable.
📊 Transparency
We share our outcomes, challenges, and finances openly. If something isn't working, we say so—and we adapt.
💡 Innovation
The employment model for disabled people is broken. We're building something new—testing, learning, and sharing what works.
🎯 Results, Not Rhetoric
Good intentions aren't enough. We measure success by real outcomes: jobs created, income earned, lives changed.
