Quick Answers

Remote Work & Disability FAQs

How do I apply to join the programme?

Visit our Apply Now page and fill out the participant application form. We'll review your application and get in touch within 5 working days.

Do I need prior experience in Sales, SEO, or AI?

No! Our training is designed for beginners. We teach you everything from scratch, starting with the basics and building to professional-level skills.

How much does the programme cost?

There is no cost to participants. RemoteAbility is funded through social investment, client work, and partnerships. We also help you apply for Access to Work to cover equipment.

What if I can only work a few hours a week?

That's fine! Our programme is flexible. Many participants start with 5-10 hours per week and scale up as their health, confidence, and capacity allow.

Will working affect my benefits?

It depends on which benefits you receive. We provide guidance on Permitted Work rules, Universal Credit earnings disregards, and support you to notify DWP correctly. Many participants keep some benefits while earning.

Can employers hire RemoteAbility participants directly?

Yes! We support direct placements where participants move into salaried roles with partner organizations. We can also provide ongoing supervision and support if helpful.

How do I refer someone to RemoteAbility?

If you're a Jobcentre, council, or charity, email andrew@remoteability.org to discuss referral routes and requirements.

Do you work across the whole UK?

Yes! We're 100% remote, so we support participants anywhere in the UK. All training, work, and support is delivered online.
