Before RemoteAbility
- Situation: 3 years unemployed due to chronic pain condition
- Barriers: Mobility issues, inconsistent energy, commuting impossible
- Income: Universal Credit and PIP only
- Confidence: "I thought my working life was over at 34."
The Journey
"I was skeptical at first—how could I do sales when some days I can't even get out of bed? But RemoteAbility's sales training was different. They taught me to work flexibly, use scripts when my brain fog was bad, and manage my energy around calls.
After three weeks of training, I started making real client calls. My first commission cheque was £147—it doesn't sound like much, but I cried. It was the first money I'd earned in years.
By week 6, I was hitting targets regularly. RemoteAbility helped me apply for Access to Work, which paid for my laptop, ergonomic chair, and headset. Now I work 20-25 hours a week, when my body allows, and I'm earning more than I ever did in my 'healthy' office job."
